The data processed usually consists of data you have provided to us or we have gathered through interactions with you, such as at trade shows, on our website, or other platforms we use. We process this data to ensure that we can provide you with the most up-to-date, relevant information and to improve our products and services to you. This may also entail sharing some personal data with a third party to help us better communicate with you by providing you with suitable and interesting information. Below, we explain how we use the information for our main data processing purposes.

Transfer of data

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside the Netherlands where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. 

If you are located outside Netherlands and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, within the EU and process it there.Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Seneca will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your personal data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Seneca may disclose your personal data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Website, emails and newsletters

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our website and we hold certain information. We keep basic details of our conversations and agreements to ensure that we can have productive interactions with you. We also document your preferences regarding what information you want to receive from us. This means we keep basic details on the best persons to speak to in your organization and the purpose of our conversations.

We also document which products and service you’ve purchased from us and in what context you use them. This way, we can get an idea of our customers’ goals. We also keep track of other products and services in which you have shown interest. We use this information to keep our services in tune with the market and provide you with relevant information about our products and services.

SaaS and Hosting customers and Support Services

If you are a Seneca customer and use our SaaS or Hosting and support services, Seneca may process data stored in your Seneca environment to ensure we can provide the best possible customer service. The details of this processing are recorded in our agreement with you; for more information, please speak to your account manager.

We will not use data that you store in your SaaS or Hosted environment. We also are not held responsible for the data that you publish through our SaaS and Hosting services.

Accessing, correcting and deleting your information

You may unsubscribe from these communications, as well as change or correct the information we store at any time via links provided in any email-based communication, or by getting in touch with us on Information that has become obsolete will be deleted from our systems according to GDPR guidelines.1.10 Changes to this privacy policyWe may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our website, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this privacy policy.
